Microlectures

Microlectures are short, recorded, scripted lessons, each under about ten minutes and aimed at one specific concept in omics or quantitative genetics. What is a linear mixed model? Why does relatedness matter when you map a QTL? What does a methylation bedGraph actually contain? One idea at a time, with the math shown and the jargon defined.

They sit in the middle of our training suite. Webinars give you the full treatment, dynamic notebooks give you the hands-on version, and microlectures give you the concept in the time it takes to drink a coffee. Watch one before a meeting, assign a set for a rotation student, or work through the series from beginning to end.
