Office hours are a standing forum where scientists and students at any career stage can talk directly with a center scientist. Bring a focused question about study design, analysis, public rat data, or analytical tools.

• Study design for genetically diverse rat experiments, including strain choice, panel size, sex as a biological variable, and power for QTL mapping.

• Analysis roadblocks involving RNA-seq, proteomics, methylation, snRNA-seq, or combinations of these data.

• Questions about public rat datasets and how to combine them with new data.

• Selection of a statistical or computational tool, or an initial interpretation of a mapping result.
